The name of this mysterious island, now known as Glastonbury Tor, came from its commanding position, where it once towered proud above the marshland below. This is also believed to be the mythical place that King Arthur’s Excalibur sword was forged, and later where Arthur was taken, fatally wounded, to meet his death. Known as a utopian paradise, this is a place where the legends of English knights are forever entwined in the mists of time.
